Kue Pancong

Kue Pancong is one of Betawi traditional cakes that is still very popular. It’s not hard to find them as peddlers are selling them everywhere. This snack tastes a lot better if it is consumed immediately after lifted from the grill.

Ingredients A:

  • grated coconut
  • rice flour
  • eggs
  • water

Ingredients B:

  • rice flour
  • coconut milk
  • salt to taste
  • pandan leaves

How to Make:

  • Mix coconut, rice flour, eggs and water (ingredient A) together.
  • Then, mix flour rice, coconut milk, salt and pandan leaves (ingredient B) on a hot boiler until the mixture becomes porridge.
  • Give both mixtures salt, then stir them evenly.
  • Smear pancong mold with oil and heat it.
  • Pour the dough into the mold. Cook it until it becomes brownish.
