Betawi Museum

The Setu Babakan Betawi Cultural Village also has a Betawi museum located in Zone A. The museum consists of two floors and offers visitors the opportunity to see some of the historical objects and replicas that have been used by the Betawi community.

Paintings, antiques, and other productions of Betawi cultural products are also on display at the museum, including musical instruments, furniture, work tools, transportation, Betawi cultural figures, etc.

Paintings of Betawi legendary actors such as Benjamin Sueb, composer Ismail Marzuki, and several other prominent Betawi figures are displayed in the museum. Antique objects such as heirlooms, Betawi classical musical instruments, Betawi batik, and ontel bikes are displayed. Those will bring back the memory from the old Batavia period.

“Betawi from A to Z” is also available in the Museum. From traditional arts, culinary, to Betawi customs, all are enshrined. In the future, the Museum will be equipped with artifacts and objects in the past that can showcase the process of civilization and the development of the Betawi community.
